UltraPulley "single" From 5.1g
Minimize friction and mass !
Extremely well performing, weighing half of the competitors Extralite Pulleys have been developed and continuosly evolved for over 15 years. Thanks to their unique engineering layout they provide the lowest resistance you can find today.
Rolling smoothness is enhanced by custom super-low-friction stainless ceramic bearings featuring proper sealing too.
Each pulley wheel features a twin-bearing assembly for unmatched stability and shifting precision.
Pulley body and teeth are 3D machined from highly durable polymer that's well self-lubing too.
Tech info
Description
Lightest Pulley Wheels with the lowest friction and the highest stability ever.
Super low friction Hybrid-Ceramic stainless bearings with protective seals.
Lightweight and durable Delrin body with phased or non-phased teeth.
Phased teeth are available in both PH (all chains but FlatTop) and PHB (FlatTop chains too) versions.
Check "TECH DETAILS" for fitting, tuning and assembling info.
Add ExtraBolt 12.2 for the lightest top notch assembly.
Installation notes:
Di2 12s requires 2 ExtraBolt 12.2C or equivalent M5x15.5mm bolts
AXS road requires 1 ExtraBolt 12.2C or equivalent M5x15.5mm bolt
AXS MTB/Gravel require ExtraBolt 12.2B + 12.2C or equivalent M5x14 + M5x15.5mm bolts

Installation Bolts
All UltraPulley models are equipped with a twin-bearing system and their width at the bolt fitting is 8.4mm
Their fitting into derailleur cages proved to be fine on any common setup, only in few cases (listed below) are required longer bolts
Check your setup before ordering and eventually use Extralite bolts (or equivalent) to achieve a perfect installation
- Di2 12s requires 2 ExtraBolt 12.2C or equivalent M5x15.5mm bolts
- AXS road requires 1 ExtraBolt 12.2C or an equivalent M5x15.5mm bolt
- AXS mtb/gravel require ExtraBolt 12.2B + 12.2C or equivalent M5x14 + M5x15.5mm bolts
Note: some Sram models employe a steel M4 bolt at the top pulley position, despite its smaller diameter it fits UltraPulley without issues
ExtraBolt 12.2 are specifically designed for derailleur pulleys and are available in 3 different lengths
ExtraBolt 12.1 are less specific but very versatile and can generally offer a good fitting too
Tuning Tips
Upgrade your derailleur
Most derailleur cages can fit pulleys with one or more teeth than the original.
However each setup differs slightly so you always have to analyze it specifically.
As example Dura Ace 12s (and 11s) have been positively tested also with 13-13T, 12-12PH and 12-14PH
The possible improvements are part of your personal taste and tuning process, no written rules to project your ideal setup.
Tuning Notes
Basically wider pulleys can be mounted on nearly any derailleur.
Originally phased-pulleys were born to help guiding the chain on MTB single chainring systems but can fit well road systems too.
Pulleys with phased teeth (PH / PHB) can be applied also on double chainring systems with the benefit of a higher shifting precision at the cogs.
As example if you plan to fit UltraPulley 12 Phased in the upper position note that it behaves differently and more precisely than a regular 12T (non phased).
Alternatively consider UltraPulley 13T that's not phased but its wider diameter keeps the upper pulley a bit closer to cogs and that may add precision in some setups too
Each setup differs slightly so you always have to analyze it specifically.
Clearance
IWhen in doubt simply check how much clearance your current pulley has.
Note how the diameter changes between these common teeth counts:
- 11T= 42mm
- 12T= 50-52mm
- 13T= 56mm
- 14T= 59mm
These simple examples may help you to project your setup but the kind of possible improvements are part of a personal tuning process and taste.
