The SRAM UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) is an industry standard for the rear derailleur hanger, designed to replace the thousands of proprietary hangers used by different MTB and E-MTB frame manufacturers.
It's a universal component that mounts on any frame built for the UDH standard (thru-axle), replacing the old system of hangers specific to each frame brand/model.
On impact (e.g. the derailleur hits a rock or obstacle), the UDH rotates backward instead of breaking, absorbing the hit and protecting both the frame and derailleur.
